Charlotte Harris founded Village Ceramics after leaving college in 1997. She had been an active hobby ceramicist for a couple of years before but decided that rather than work for someone else she would set up her own business doing what she enjoyed doing most.
Charlotte’s husband Jay joined as a partner in the business in November 2011 to help Charlotte juggle life with the children and a very busy business and help improve the business further and develop new ideas.
He also came 2nd in a UK wide painting competition in 2014 with his ‘Frozen’ plate
The studio has been in Cheam Village for over 20 years and has the capacity for up to 40 guests at any time. We also arrange outside visits for birthday parties, schools and youth groups.
At Village Ceramics we pride ourselves in the help and guidance we provide for our guests. We are only too happy to show you different techniques and help with any of the difficult bits! Year after year we have customers who come back to us and we can only put it down to our friendly staff and relaxed and inviting studio. We are extremely children friendly & will go out of our way to make your visit to Village Ceramics an enjoyable one. We have high chairs for little ones, along with a baby changing area, nappy bin, microwave for warming milk or food & even better drinks and biscuits are totally free!!!
Having been around for so long we have a regular and loyal customer base, which is ever expanding, some of our many customers include:
