NEW ‘Clay Play’ course for kids!!!

‘Clay Play’ is a new course for the kids, which allows them the chance to work with real clay & make one off masterpieces to keep forever!!!

The 4 week course will include 2 weeks of making & modelling with clay & 2 weeks of painting & decorating  – all pieces will then be glazed & fired & come out looking amazing!

The kids will have a real chance to be creative & use their imagination, they can decide what they want to make & how they want it to look…

!st course starts Wednesday 21st April for 4 weeks

Wicked Wednesdays return!

Wicked Wednesdays are back, 7-11pm on the 1st wednesday of every month.

Its a chance for all you ladies to come & spend the evening painting, catching up with friends & having a well earned relax!

It can be just you, you & a friend or a group of you…

Coffee & tea included, but please feel free to bring wine, soft drinks or nibbles or even get a take-away from one of many in the village…

“Arty Crafty” Kids Club this half term

This February Half-Term, Village Ceramics are having a “Arty Crafty” Kids Club, running on Tuesday 16th & Thursday 18th February between 10am and 3pm.

We will be having lots of craft activities to keep the kids entertained during half term… so you don’t have to worry about any of the mess!

All the kids need to bring is a packed lunch & drink (drinks and a snack will be included), along with aprons to save us all getting toooo messy!

The cost is £25 per day, with £10 deposit required when booking, please drop in or book over the phone.
Spaces are limited, so book quickly to avoid dissapointment!!!

Half term is here – Monday 15th Feburary

Half term is already upon us.

Village Ceramics will be open Monday 15th  – Saturday 20th February, 10am-5.30pm every day.

Christmas 2009 at Village Ceramics

Village Ceramics is proud to announce our ‘Kids Christmas’ parties which are organised for Monday 21st December 4pm-6.30pm.  I’m afraid that the party on Tuesday 22nd December is already fully booked.

Party food is included, with a choice of a Santa, Snowman, Reindeer piece at a cost of £20 per child, booking essential as spaces are already limited.

We have christmas painting fun planned for all the family – available on Monday 21^st Dec, Tues 22^nd Dec, Weds 23^rd dec and also after Christmas on Monday 28^th Dec, Tues 29^th Dec, Weds 30^th Dec 10-5.30pm, again booking essential.

Other news…

Children In Need at Village Ceramics saw over 200 children painting their own glazed Pudsey Bear .  We visited two surrey schools and had brownie and rainbow groups visit.

Deadlines for pieces for Christmas 2009

The last day to paint any glazed pieces that have a chance to be ready for Christmas is Wednesday 16th December (we will always do our best to get urgent pieces fired in time but ceramics is not an exact science and nothing can be guaranteed 100%).

Precious print Foot and Hand print pieces are to be booked in advance and by Friday 4th December in order to have them in time for Christmas.

As the weekends are often fully booked weeks in advance, please don’t forget you can paint on a Wednesday or Friday afterschool and it’s a half price session fee (£3 each instead of £6)!

Children in Need 2009

The month of November is going to be devoted to BBC Children In Need.

By visiting schools, nurseries, brownies etc, Village Ceramics are hoping to get over 1000 children to paint their own Pudsey!  Don’t worry, we have entered into a contract with the BBC so its all agreed with the copyright.

Village Ceramics will be having a Children In Need “Paint a Pudsey” on Friday 20th November with Pudsey cookies, cakes, face painting all raising money for the fund.

Spaces for the party will need pre-booking (020 8661 7837), but throughout November anyone can come in and paint a Pudsey.

We invite everyone to come and join in – please help spread the word and help raise loads of money for a great charity.

Happy Halloween! (October Half Term 2009)

From Monday 26th October to Saturday 31st October Village Ceramics will be having 6 days of spooky fun.

Booking is essential for morning and afternoon painting/mosaic sessions.

Times are as follows 10/10.15/10.30/10.45am or 2/2.15/2.30/2.45pm.

For each painting/mosaic session we will be having a fancy dress competition, which will be awarded at 11.30am and 3.30pm with 1st place receiving a Village Ceramic gift voucher and 2nd place Halloween goodies.

Face painting will be available throughout the week for £2.00.

As always drinks and halloween cakes are all included in the session fee along with all our friendly help and advice.

Back again by popular demand the Kids Crafty Creative Summer School

Children from the age of 5 years upwards can come and spend the day at Village Ceramics fully supervised and make and create lots of different Art and Craft items, the children are provided with refreshments and an ice lolly during the day, parents are asked to provide a pack lunch and drink for the lunch break, the cost is £25 and the summer school is running on Tuesdays and Thursdays and starts on the 28th July 2009 until Thursday 24th August 2009 at 10am until 3pm. Places are very limited  in order to give the kids as much one to one time as possible and booking well in advance essential.

£5 discount if two sessions are booked through the summer holidays
